Alarm.com partners with SafetyCare August 12, 2008 Alarm.com and SafetyCare have partnered to offer a home-based monitoring and emergency response service for seniors and disabled individuals. McLean-based Alarm.com and Reading, Pa.-based SafetyCare have spent the past year testing the service and building out the network. The service, which pairs Alarm.com's wireless and Web-based monitoring technology with SafetyCare's emergency response services, is intended to let people live independently at home while staying connected to family, professional care providers and emergency medical response staff who can provide assistance if needed. The two companies have initially lined up about 50 partners nationwide in the major and mid-major markets. A partner in the D.C. market is already on board to offer the service to individuals in the area.
Alarm.com has about 100,000 customers nationwide, a growing slice of which is in
the independent living and connected caregiver category.
