Alarm.com Announces Platinum Partnership with CMS
McLean, VA, April 28, 2004 — Alarm.com® Incorporated, a leading provider of advanced security and monitoring technology for homes and businesses, today announced that it has established a Platinum Partnership with CMS Monitoring of Longwood, Florida. As an Alarm.com Platinum Partner, CMS has been licensed to resell Alarm.com services through its existing security dealers and will optimize its central station technology for homes and businesses that receive Alarm.com’s award-winning services. Alarm.com has committed to provide CMS with a level of exclusivity as its preferred Independent central station in the Southeastern region of the United States. Under the terms of the partnership, CMS will install and support technology that enables its central station to receive alarm system signals and events from Alarm.com via an Osborne-Hoffman Internet-enabled alarm signal receiver. This technology will result in alarm signals reaching the central station more quickly, via a high-speed network vs. traditional receiver technology, and allows users to interact with their alarm systems through e-mail, a cellular phone or the internet and to monitor locations where a landline is not available. CMS and Alarm.com also plan to integrate their user account management systems so that customers using Alarm.com and CMS services can maintain their access code and emergency contact information through one website. Alison Slavin, a Senior Product Manager at Alarm.com commented: "Alarm.com is very excited about this business partnership and the technology advances that it will generate. I believe that Alarm.com and CMS dealer customers will now be able to get significantly more value, in the form of information, control and peace of mind, from their security systems."
