Alarm.com Adds Broadband Communication Capability to Its Proven Security Monitoring Platform McLean, Virginia & Las Vegas, Nevada, May 7, 2007 - Alarm.com, a leading provider of wireless and Web-enabled security system and monitoring technology, today announced the launch of its new line of broadband communicators at the 15th Annual CableNET exhibit, co-sponsored by CableLabs and the National Cable & Telecommunications Association, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Since 2003, Alarm.com has been delivering technology to consumers that makes their traditional security systems "phone line independent". Alarm.com's wireless communication modules enable a traditional security system to transmit alarms and other important security events to an off-site monitoring center via one of several, nationwide wireless data networks. With Alarm.com's new line of broadband communication modules, consumers can now use the high-speed cable Internet connections in their homes and businesses as another way for their security systems to communicate critical security and safety data to an alarm monitoring center. Alarm.com's broadband capability extends well beyond alarm reporting. Alarm.com's always-on sensor activity monitoring feature enables users to keep track of all activity reported by their security sensors, 24x7, from any Web-enabled computer or handheld device. Users can also receive voice, e-mail and text message alerts whenever a specific door, window or cabinet opens, or when a motion sensor detects activity, even if the security system is disarmed. And with Alarm.com's patented "custom threat alerting" feature, users can design notification schemes to alert them if activity is reported by certain sensors during times when it may indicate a serious problem, like a teenager's bedroom window opening in the middle of the night, or the liquor cabinet opening when only the babysitter and the kids are at home. "Alarm.com has the ideal solution for customers who subscribe to high-speed cable Internet service and want reliable protection from intrusion and other threats in and around their property," said Mary Knebel, Vice President of Business Development at Alarm.com. "Alarm.com customers are able to get more value from their cable Internet connection by using it both for alarm signaling and as a way to access advanced security and safety features through the Web." Alarm.com will be in Booth #221 at The Cable Show '07, from May 7-9, 2007 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. About Alarm.com™
