Alarm.com To Showcase Its Newest Products and Features at ISC West McLean, VA – March 22, 2007 - Alarm.com, a leading provider of wireless, Web-enabled interactive security and monitoring technology, has announced that it will be showcasing its newest products and features at ISC West (International Security Conference and Expo), taking place in Las Vegas March 28-30, 2007. Alarm.com will be providing security dealers at the conference live demonstrations of the latest Alarm.com features in a special area of Alarm.com partner GE Security's booth (#17603). Alarm.com's wireless GSM modules for the GE Simon and GE Concord panel lines are foremost in the lineup of recently introduced technology that Alarm.com will be demonstrating at ISC West. By adding support for the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) digital wireless network, the same rapidly expanding network operated by Cingular Wireless and its partners in North America, Alarm.com is now able to offer its patented wireless and Web-enabled security services in more locations throughout the U.S. than ever before. Like all of Alarm.com's wireless communication technology, its GSM Modules are completely digital and therefore unaffected by the Analog Mobile Phone Service (AMPS) Sunset Clause that threatens to render an estimated one million analog-based wireless security systems inoperable by February 2008.
In addition to enabling a fast and secure two-way wireless signaling connection for 24/7 security system monitoring and control, Alarm.com's GSM modules are designed to make troubleshooting easy for installers and customers alike. Four status lights on the module make it easy to check wireless signal strength, as well as monitor the connection between the security system and the module, and between the module and the GSM network. Touchpad LCD screens and control panel voice feedback provide additional information about the module status that can aid in setup and testing. Alarm.com's GSM Modules are fully integrated with GE's control panels, and do not require a separate power supply or housing. The result is a more streamlined installation process and a more cosmetically pleasing product for the end user. Alarm.com will also be exhibiting its patented AirFX™ Remote Toolkit that allows Alarm.com Dealers to reprogram a customer's security system remotely through the Web. AirFX enables Alarm.com Dealers to respond immediately to customer requests for system changes, saving their customers the cost and time of an onsite visit by a technician. For example, an Alarm.com Dealer could use AirFX to extend the entry delay setting for a customer who needs more time to disarm the system upon entering the property, to avoid false alarms. Or, if a customer loses a keyfob remote, the dealer could use AirFX to delete it from the system's programming so that it can no longer be used to disarm the system. Unlike other troubleshooting products, the AirFX Remote Toolkit from Alarm.com is completely wireless and Web-based, so no downloader software or phone line connection is required.
"Security Evolved", a recent slogan introduced by Alarm.com, aptly describes the new features the company will be highlighting at ISC West. Together, these two words capture Alarm.com's continued mission to offer superior technology that changes the way dealers and their customers think about and interact with their security systems. Alarm.com strives to deliver end users the most advanced security and monitoring features to ensure that their security and life safety systems are providing value and protection around the clock.
