Product Advantages
Digital (not analog) wireless signaling
Like all of Alarm.com's wireless signaling technology, our GSM module is entirely digital, NOT analog. This means it will NOT be affected by the FCC's Analog Mobile Phone Service (AMPS) Sunset Clause that allows for the discontinuation of older analog wireless networks after February 18, 2008.

Fast and Reliable
Alarm.com's GSM module uses the robust GPRS protocol on the GSM network, which ensures a two-way wireless connection that is faster and more reliable than the voice or SMS channels used by other GSM signaling devices on the market.

No separate power supply required
In the event of a power outage, the Module can continue to send alarm and other signals for more than 24 hours.

4 GSM-specific status lights for easy on-site troubleshooting
Status lights on the module allow installers or customers to check wireless signal strength, as well as monitor the connection between the panel and module, and between the module and the GSM network.

Remote "over the air" system programming
The GSM module supports Alarm.com's patented AirFX™ Remote Toolkit, which lets dealers troubleshoot and resolve many issues remotely through the Alarm.com Dealer Website. Edit sensor groups, sensor names, entry/exit delays, trouble beep settings, and more - without the need for downloader software or a traditional phone line connection.

Patented Web-based monitoring and control via Web, PDA, and Blackberry®
Like all of Alarm.com's modules, the GSM module enables users to monitor and control their system from anywhere, through the Web. They can view a history that shows all sensor events such as door, window, or motion sensor activity, as well as system events such as arming/disarming, low battery, or power failure. They can also arm or disarm their system, set up user codes, and even control lights through the Web.
